We’d never really considered foxes as frightening, but we’re beginning to wonder how we’ve ever managed to sleep at night after watching this. JohnlikeJohn’s resident fox (possibly in all sense, we couldn’t possibly say), Twiggy, gets her breakout role in Faking Foxes, the nightmarish new video released by the rising folk collective. Don’t have nightmares. But you will.
Prolific singer-songwriter, Adam Lanceley, has released the video to his song, “A Film We All Saw”, which shows him strolling through the picturesque streets of Cambridge. So far, so unremarkable, right? Wrong – Adam was critically injured in a traffic accident when he was ten years old, leaving him with a crushed pelvis, broken limbs and a serious brain injury. Told by doctors he’d never walk or talk again, he has proved them wrong at every hurdle. His latest milestone is this video which, to repeat, sees him strolling around Cambridge. And singing. Inspirational stuff.
Ex-pat harpist, Julia Mascetti is making quite a name for herself in her adopted home of Tokyo. Combining a very British style of folk and singer-songwriter sensibilities with traditional Japanese musical accompaniment: this live rendition of the lead track from her forthcoming EP, “In Distance, Everything is Poetry” shows her dark, spooky side in a unique setting.
From music creator Matteo, comes the music video for “Tudo Gira” off of latest album ‘Mãe da Lua’ from Kalibé. Bringing in aspects of cultural and spiritual life, this is an enchanting and beautifully constructed piece. Conveying picturesque scenery and wonderful parts of the world, this video does not disappoint.
British singer-songwriter J.J.Leone releases his new single, Reload, on October 6th. Written, performed, produced, managed and possibly even driven by himself, J.J is the true definition of the DIY ethic.
Pallab Sarker’s video for new single ‘Not Gonna Fall In Love With You’. Shot all in First person, this endearing and heart-warming video stars Jenny Hansel and was filmed by award winning production company ‘Bradgate Films’. Check it out!
Mark L. Oakes has recently dropped the new video for his single ‘Shredded Jeans’ that is taken from his latest album, Call Me The Moon.
The Belgian singer-songwriter’s relaxed folky style is perfectly accompanied by the emotive black and white visuals of the video. We see Mark playing his guitar in baron, winter landscapes that evoke a sense of desolation and loneliness, yet this fits in with how Oakes describes his album as the ideal soundtrack for a ‘karmic road trip’.
Mainly tracked at Mark’s home studio in the heart of the Ardennes, the record has been finalised with the help of Londoner cellist Ben Trigg and mastered by Grammy award winner Gavin Lurssen in Los Angeles.

This new Christmas sing-along by Jon McDevitt avoids the common approaches to the genre. Thoughtful lyrics by co-writer Dominic Hudson paint Father Christmas as a figure missing from Christmas, whilst allowing the listener to interpret it as to how or why. Musically, ‘Father Christmas’ is pretty easy listening. The seasonal single blends influences from The Smiths and Dexys Midnight Runners to form a tuneful jingle – perfect festive gold. The video features a collage of McDevitt and his supporting band – Dave Coston, Anna Kenkins, Neill Tupman, Matt Francis, Stuart Francis and Lucy Camsell.
From creating the theme tune to the Channel 5 series ‘A Different Life’ to selling 2000 unsigned albums with his original band Geist, McDevitt has a strong background in the music industry. We wish him the best of luck with the release contemporary festive jingle!
With a variety health benefits and recipe ideas-aplenty, no one can argue with our most humble superfood, the blueberry. Singer-songwriter Lenny Bunn has taken things a step further though and expressed his love for ‘The Wonder of the Blueberry’ with his mouthwatering new video…
Backed with Lenny’s recently recorded cover of the classic ‘Blueberry Hill’ the video features a collage of all things ‘Blueberry’ – beware, this video may induce hungriness, thirstiness or healthiness…
